I started working Part-Time in a Customer Service role at IKEA at the age of 16, whilst finishing my last year at school. I spent 4 ½
years working there and really enjoyed working in such a busy,customer focused environment, getting to meet a lot of new people, and experiencing some of the Swedish culture.
I joined Bullivants in January 2008. I was looking for a career change and I needed a stable full-time job.I started as a Temp helping out in Accounts Receivable for 6 months. A position then became available in Accounts Payable and I have been there ever since. I still think today how lucky I was to be in the right place at the right time and to be given that opportunity.
I have enjoyed working for Bullivants. The people I work with are great. There are many friendships I have formed.
Accounts Payable involves dealing with suppliers and internal and external customers on a daily basis. I enjoy getting to know
my suppliers and fellow colleagues. Processing invoices and supplier payments is something that gets done every day. Having previously worked in retail, working in an office environment was such a big change. I love it. I have the responsibility of making sure my suppliers are paid!
I can see myself working for Bullivants for many years to come. I enjoy working as part of the finance team but I am sure if opportunities arise, I will certainly put my hand up and be willing to take on other challenges. Bullivants has grown so much since I have been here and I am sure it will continue to do so in years to come.
