| The Aim |
| This course is most suitable for persons who are required to undertake straight forward height related tasks. It aims to teach basic techniques in assessing real situations, equipment selection, fitting and using height safety equipment and to help to provide a safe and secure working environment for all employees. |

- Basic Risk Assessment associated with work at heights,
the "Hierarchy of Control" explained.
- What do I need to do my job? Is it restraint or fall arrest?
- Equipment Selection, Fitting and Inspection criteria
- Anchor points - what do I hook on to?
- Examination and close out
- Practical onsite (discuss, select and hook up)

| The Aim |
| This course is primarily designed to reach our customers in the workshop or wherever lives and capital equipment are dependent on safe lifting practices. It aims to teach basic safe lifting techniques and to assist employers to provide a safe and secure working environment for their employees. |
| The objectives |
- To gain basic knowledge and understanding of product characteristics, including their capabilities and limitations.
- To understand the importance of knowing the weight of the load.
- To have sufficient knowledge of slinging practice to select the
correct equipment and methods to lift a load.
- To understand the significance of terms and abbreviations such
as SWL, WLL, MBF etc.

rigger or dogmen is not required, as a refresher course or for supervisors to recognise potentially dangerous lifting situations. This is an awareness course and certificate of competency will not be awarded. |

The course contains segments on the safe use of wire rope, chain,
slings, hardware, slinging etc. and can be tailored to your needs. All Course
material and take away notes are provided and wherever possible practical demonstrations on the inspection of your or our lifting equipment is used. |
