Bullivants Indigenous Scholarship Program

Bullivants is proud to announce and congratulate Darcy Wooden and Flynn Bailey in becoming our recipients of the Bullivants Indigenous Scholarship Program for 2023.

The scholarship grants each scholar $10,000 per year for financial support. Funded by the sale of selected Bullivants Alloy Chain Slings, the scholarship program aims to encourage and support Indigenous tertiary students who have a passion for engineering to reach their career aspirations.

To qualify for this scholarship, all recipients must be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student studying full time towards an undergraduate degree in Engineering at an accredited Australian university.

Darcy, a proud Wiradjuri man, has just started his first year of his Bachelor of Engineering at the University of Wollongong. Darcy’s love of Mathematics and the outdoors drew him to Engineering as a career.

As a proud Noongar man, Flynn is in the second year of his Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Science at University of Western Australia. Flynn wishes to be an Engineer after he graduates and work his way to a leadership position while completing his MBA.

Throughout the year, our scholar recipients will be invited to their local Bullivants branch for a site visit, learn more about Bullivants and the Lifting and Rigging industry and meet the teams. They will also be invited to take part in our Inclusion and Diversity activities where they can share their story about their background and heritage.
